Steve escorts Donna Brentwood into the interrogation room and offers her a seat.

"What is this about, officer?" she asks.

"I’m afraid that your husband has been murdered," he says.

Donna gasps and pulls a lace hanky from her pocket to dab at the tears that start running from her eyes. "How could this happen?"

"That’s what I’m trying to find out," Steve says. "Could you tell me if he said anything the last time you spoke?"

"We fought," she tells him. "I told him I wanted a divorce."

"Did you threaten to kill him or hurt him in any way?" Steve asks.

Donna shakes her head. "I loved my husband, Detective Sloan."

"I’ve heard that before," Mark mumbles so you give him a sideways glance and shush him.

"I was just tired of his cheating," she finishes.

"Was there any reason that his mistress, Gina, might have wanted him dead?" Steve asks.

Donna snorts. "If he divorced me, he would lose everything. I have a great attorney."

"What does that have to do with anything?" Steve asks.

"He put her in his will," she says. "She gets half and I get half."

Steve looks thoughtful then stands. "I think I have all I need for now," he says as he escorts her out.
