"How could he have been murdered?" you ask.

"Digitalis is a type of poison," Amanda explains. "But in small amounts it has uses as a heart drug. The dangerous thing about it is that it can cause sudden changes in some body functions. Like the potassium for instance."

"But doesn’t it have to have a catalyst to cause problems?" you ask.

"Yes, usually," Amanda answers. "Unless too much of the drug has been administered."

"Once a guy who was on it got salmonella poisoning and died from potassium levels going way down," Jesse says.

You whistle between your teeth. Part of you wants to ask if you can help on the investigation while another part doesn’t.
